On February 16th, Seattle held a protest which moved on to Denver, then to Mesa, AZ, and then on to Kansas’ own Overland Park. Several cities started planning Tea Parties for February 27th after a rousing rant by CNBC host Rick Santelli’s call for a “Chicago Tea Party”. They held simultaneous local tea parties in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Cleveland.OH, Denver, Fayetteville.NC, Hartford.CT, Houston, Lansing.MI, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Omaha.NE, Orlando, Portland, San Diego, Shelby.AL, Tampa, and Washington DC. Then on March 4th Michelle Malkin talked about cities planning for the next wave of tea parties. Parties that would be held on April 15, Tax Day. So almost 2 months to the day after Seattle’s protest, cities across the nation will be holding Tax Day Tea Parties. Wichita’s Tea Party is going to be 4/15@4:15 at the Airport Post Office. Plan to be there.
